I’m Amber, the owner and photographer behind the lens of Lammardo Studios. The guy in the picture? That is my husband, Mark. On September 1st, 2018, I became a Lammardo. I include him because he is my rock, my biggest supporter, and the left to my right brain. Chances are if you work with me, you’ll see or hear about him.

I have always been the person taking photos at family gatherings or outings with friends, and I enjoy snapping all the sunset and nature pictures I can get. It’s just what I do. I think out of all the people in my life, I’m probably the least photographed. I used to get upset about the lack of photos, but I had to change my outlook on it. If I ever leave this convertible spaceship we inhabit, people might not have photos of ME, but they’ll have the way I saw things through the photographs I’ve taken. To have what I’ve seen, perhaps, might be more intimate than endless photos of my face.

To freeze time, in THIS moment, the only one we get…might be why I love photography so much. It’s my zone. When I have my camera in my hand, I focus so hard on what is in front of me that nothing else matters. Photography is truly my passion. I took the leap of faith in October of 2019 to pursue this as my full-time career. Photography NEEDED to be more than a hobby for me.

When I’m not behind a camera, my other happy places are: live music & comedy shows, traveling somewhere I’ve never been, watching a good storm, reading a book with a fuzzy blanket, sipping a glass of whiskey by a fire with my husband and four-legged-child(Jameson), or checking out the latest and greatest restaurant. I live a pretty simple, easy life.

I hope stopping by has given you a little peek into my world. Maybe, if I’m lucky, we can share more one day.

Xo,

Amber
